They announced that they restructured his deal to save cap $.
Then Long tweets that he still hasn't decided.
Per Gunn & Brooks,he wants more playing time promises as he fears they'll draft a DE and his playing time will lessen.
I will feel much better with him in the fold.
stay tuned.

Long should get credit for this. The restructuring defers his roster bonus until after the draft because he doesn't want paid until he's sure he'll be here.
I want him to stay but can understand that he's only willing to do so if he's going to be playing.

I want him to stay but can understand that he's only willing to do so if he's going to be playing. Well, we know he's a great guy but, with that said, what else is there for him to accomplish? He's won multiple SBs, won other awards. He'll always be remembered fondly (as of now) in Philly. So, he can be picky. Remember, he has been contemplating retirement anyway. So I get it, why hang around (other than money, which doesn't seem to be a concern for him) if you won't be playing enough/much? Still want to see him suit up for the Eagles every Sunday though.

I like Long because of his locker room presence and leadership, his play isn't amazing but it would be nice to have him back.
