Round 1 - Carter (DT), Smith (Edge) Round 2 - n/a Round 3 - Steen (OL), Brown (S) Round 4 - Ringo (CB) Round 5 - n/a Round 6 - McGee (QB) Round 7 - Ojomo (DT)
Plus a trade for Swift (RB).
Looks a good haul at first glance, subject to the usual caveat that these are all prospects and not all will work out. Only quibble would be the suitability of the immobile McGee for our offense.
So my overall grade is a solid A.

We also traded away our 2024 third to get Ringo and 2025 fourth to get Swift.
However we're expected to get a compensatory third next year for the loss of Hargrave which effectively pays for Ringo and if Swift is only a one year rental then we may well get a late compensatory pick in 2025 to partly offset the trade.

Good stuff Rumply.
Saved me from looking it up.
Ten picks next year is impressive.
Trade a fifth to get a solid 2nd TE soon and use the others as ammo to get into the 4th and up higher in other rounds next year.

Don't be surprised if Calcaterra doesn't take a big step up.

You mean if he's no good?

You mean if he's no good? I seem to remember he was pretty good in college and then stepped away from the game because of concussions - a year off I think. Then entered the draft. He could turn out to be a good #2, maybe. And the QB turned TE has showed promise too.

One can hope. (See what I did there?) He or the QB didn't impress last year. Problem is, they don't have any real practices these days so who the hell knows when/how they evaluate these guys.
