Yes enjoy the game guys, nervous AF but if this team plays to it's capability, hard to see how they lose.

As suspected by most, once Gannon was up against an A grade QB in playoffs, he would struggle.
Still, a great season from the Birds & while I am horribly disappointed, it really could have gone either way.

4th & 2 while you're down in the SUPER BOWL, and you don't go for it??
We deserved this L, especially when our #1 RB only has 7 FUCKING CARRIES. This whole season I was upset when our QB was our leading rusher. Our #1 back was fresh AF in the post-season and only got to run the ball 7x against a mid-tier D-line.
The Smitty catch should've been a catch, and Sanders' number should've been called a lot more.
I'm definitely no expert, but in my opinion, the Hurts fumble was the X-factor in this game. Lost the ball before he was even touched...
As a native Texan, I can't root for a guy from OU. Lane Johnson has been the only exception in my 29 years, and I really wanted Hurts to he the 2nd.
Gannon made the necessary adjustments for Kelce in my opinion, D-line just didn't do enough considering how highly they were rated. The KC O-line definitely wasn't THAT good.
OBVIOUSLY Mahomes is a magician and made some magic happen, but we had weeks to prepare for him. Especially when there was a point in time when we knew he was hurt.
All in all, we just didn't play our best. Fuck the Chiefs, but yay for Andy as an Eagles fan.
Hopefully our young guys take this to heart and play to their fullest next season. Fingers crossed we get Bradberry back🤞🤞

Are you referring to the 4th and 3 on our own 32 down by 1 point? Obviously punting is the correct call. Sirianni likely didn't know our special teams would hand them another 7 points right after. Agreed about Gannon. Kelce had 2 catches for 14 yards in the 2nd half. They featured Juju the rest of the way, and we got no pressure. Can't double team everyone. And of course, nobody on defense made a single play all night. Still, our defense basically gave up 24 points tonight. We scored 35. Maybe don't hand them a free 7 points by fumbling the ball? And yeah, I don't understand not getting Sanders going at all. As far as the holding penalty at the end, I was more apathetic than angry. It's quite obvious to anyone who isn't blind that the NFL has a desired outcome, or a "script." If the Eagles do their job and win by 10, it doesn't matter. But in a close game, in a tight situation, the refs can steer the outcome, as they did in the AFCCG. A game has to be close to be stolen.

Miles sucked tonight and fumbled on his first carry of the game. It’s been the thing that has plagued him dating back to college.
Andy absolutely shredded us in the second half. Two touchdowns without a defender even in the same stratosphere.
But that call is an all timer embarrassment for the league. And nothing will change. Because we’ll all keep watching.
Sucks that’s how this game will be remembered. Because it really could have been a classic.

They later went for it on a 3rd & short and I was screaming at the TV how they didn't do it on 4th & short before. I'm gonna spend the whole summer wondering how TF a defense that racked up 70+ sacks couldn't get a single one against an inferior O-line on the biggest stage. Part of me wants to just brush it off as "the NFL is rigged", but the other part wants to take the high road and say the better team won. Thoughts?

I don’t think they were the better team. It’s pretty obvious we were championship caliber.
Every football fan deserved a better ending.

It is the next morning and I surprisingly slept well.
This was a team loss.
The fumble sucked the air out of our SB party like no other play that I can remember. Unreal when you consider how good Hurts normally is at protecting the ball.
T. Kelce killed us in the 1st half and Gannon made an adjustment in the 2nd half. No more Kelce but Mahomes promptly adjusted and killed the D throwing to his WRs. The defense was a complete failure in the 2nd half. One stop and the Eagles are SB champs.
The offensive line did not live up to their abilities either. Hurts was under a lot of pressure. It didn't show in the sack total, 1, but he was forced to roll out and throw it away in a lot of big spots.
Then the punt return. I am still in disbelief that the special teams gave that up in that situation. To a guy that was cast away by the NY Giants.
So it is on to the off-season. There are a lot of free agents so we all better hope Roseman has another stellar year.

If I was a neutral then that was a bloody good game. Sadly I'm not.
Overall our offense played well. My main disappointment there would be the two plays in quick succession - Seumalo's false start cost us a near automatic first down sneak and then Hurts fumbled on the next play.
The Chiefs had our defence on toast the entire game. We couldn't get close to Mahomes even when he did hold the ball.
Disappointing that our recalled punter had such a short kick which set up their return, but coverage has to be better.
The holding call at the end looked poor as it didn't seem to affect their player who got nowhere near the ball but it was our no-show on defence that meant the game was tied when it happened.
Not going for it on 4th and 3 on our own 32 yard line? Very risky and part of the criticism is based on the poor punt and coverage. A better punt and they have a lot further to go and our defence may have finally got a stop.

Disappointing game for sure. Hurts fumbling was the big thing that changed things but still felt like the Eagles played like the better team for the 1st half.
As discussed, absolutely ZERO pressure on Mahomes...ZERO...
And I just don't know what they were doing in the 2nd half. Did nothing to stop the run and then receivers running open all 2nd half. SMH...
The call was rough at the end but that's not what cost the game--it cost a chance at the game but the defense not stopping them at all in the 2nd half cost the game.
Gonna be a long offseason...

I clearly stated that the defense made an adjustment to counter Kelce. I'd have to review the stats but I think he only had 2 catches in the 2nd half. As I stated above, Mahomes countered that move by pivoting to the WRs.

They play the games because anything can happen.
Our offense scored 35 points. Our defense essentially allowed 24 points. Overall, I think we were pretty clearly the better team.
If Hurts and the punt coverage don't spot the Chiefs 14 points, we win pretty easily. Even adding the short FG they missed, it's 35-27. I don't think Sirianni was outcoached. That's why this loss sucks most, it was the x factors that did it, turnovers and special teams.

Hopefully Gannon is too busy signing a contract with the Cardinals to answer any questions for us.
