The saddest and most dangerous part about this saga is the number of people who are either disinterested in the enormity of what this tells us or are critical of Musk for releasing it.  Unfortunately, most people are not too different from house pets who obey because they are reliant and have no capacity for critical thought.  This is similar to what transpired early in the country's founding, people preferred servitude in exchange for comforts over the burdens that accompany freedom.  Our society is largely populated by Pavlov's dogs.
