OL with BB being out, and Wis and Chance gone, we need a depth FA signing at a minimum.
CB - with Darby being presumably gone, we need a starting caliber CB. The youth we had plus Jones poor play make me uncomfortable going with youth.
LB - need an answer for Hicks and he isn't on the roster
RB - if we're passing on Ajayi, we need a replacement
with these needs, I can't see how we can invest $9 M in Nellie.
Howie needs to be busy this week and next.

FA hasn't started yet, so I'm guessing Howie Joe has a plan. I thought that Agholor's $9 mil was a part of their cap calculation, believed to be about $15 mil right now, but I also agree that's too much and hope there'll be a solution to that too. Cut, trade or extension, preferring the last.

I'm fine with splitting the RB load between Clement and Adams. I still say Adams should've had a lot more touches last year. Maybe bring in a 3rd down back to help - hell, why not bring back Blount for some tough running? We could get him cheap on a 1 year deal.

Would be happy with Blount back, he has his uses. & as much as he seems to be disregarded, Smallwood showed sighs that he can be dangerous so I wouldn't be completely dismissing him going forward.

Wish Blount wouldn't have left. Love the way he plays and his attitude. When they brought in Ajayi there wasn't a peep from Blount other than saying he'll do whatever it takes to help the team win. We definitely need a better RB. They lost confidence in Adams for some reason last season. I still think he may work out though. Clement is good but just doesn't seem to be a workhorse who can handle a huge load.

I think Smallwood can do a decent job for us as part of a rotation, but given his limited playing time the coaches seem to disagree.
That said, we need a workhorse back to lead the committee.

For the most part, Smallwood has played...well...small. He had a few games towards the end of this past season where he was running BIG. I like that Smallwood. Problem is, I'm not sure we will get that week in and week out.

picked up L.J. Fort to help plug the LB hole, good on special teams as well.

I think he's primarily a STer rather than a LB. Nothing wrong with that, as I like have a couple of guys on the roster who are here mostly for STs.

Darby back on a one year $8.5m deal & there's little doubt he could have got more elsewhere. I like the move of not signing him up long term - if he stays healthy & has a good year, he gets paid.
Guess we'll see what happens at RB next & as the pieces slowly come together, it's hard not to like how well Howie does his thing especially when you look at the goat fuck that's going on in New York.

You know one thing we need? A Super Bowl MVP Quality backup QB................... Everyone can use that. Problem is, it's cost-prohibitive to have that. If Wentz wasn't still on his rookie deal we wouldn't have had that either. At the end of the day, it was a fluke that happened. A fluke because it's a situation almost no team is ever in. When your #1 guy goes down, it's (essentially) the end of the line. We were very fortunate to have the 2 seasons we did with Foles as a backup but it's just not realistic to tie up that kind of money on two QBs--one of which may never play.

I know, I was just being Axish for the heck of it.
We do need a decent #2 to compete with Nate.
Prob will cost a few mill for someone of the McCarron ilk, if not a little better for perhaps a Bortles type?

I think we wait a few weeks before approaching any of the veteran FAs. None of them excite me, so let's wait for their price to drop first.
Ultimately we need Sudfield to improve to be a reliable #2. It would be nice but unrealistic to expect him to be at Foles level as another starter.

Who knows who the next could be ... Sammy Sleeves?

The top 101 free agents included just 4 QBs, led by Foles at #4 overall, and Bradford was the fourth listed at #101 behind Bridgewater (#25) and Taylor (#67). Conclusion - good QBs don't make FA in the first place.

I can't believe the money he's earned for not doing a damn thing in the NFL.

I'd be ok with having Bradford ride the bench for $1.5m or some shit, only because of his experience. He probably wouldn't take it though, so screw him. Speaking of Mahomes, he'll likely sign the biggest NFL contract ever this year. And he'll officially become the NFL's Bryce Harper. though at least he's going to get his money immediately after a phenomenal season, and not 4 years after.
