We couldn't get a stop in the first half, and couldn't sustain a drive all game.
Apparently Hurts could have played today if required, so at least he'll be available for next week which is now a must win game.

In today's shocking news, a backup QB doesn't perform as well as an MVP candidate.....

The drop off from Hurts to Minshew is concerning, gives us no chance should he be required for a quarter or god forbid a half come playoffs.

It doesn't help when we call 70% pass plays for Minshew, and give our feature back 12 carries. Whenever McNabb went down, Reid would call a balanced game and our backups would look like starters. If we did that with McNabb we'd have a couple more rings. It was maddening. It's even worse seeing the opposite done here.

First, I thought Minshew was better than this. However, his weak-ass arm is, well, weaker than I thought. Constantly falls back while throwing the ball.
However, defense shit the bed in the first half. Offense shit the bed the whole game. Why are they insisting on throwing the ball 20-30 yards down the field on 3rd and short??? Why are they not running the ball more?? Minshew was trash but man, the playcalling has been horrible the past few weeks.
But I'm sick of watching Gannon's defense make mediocre QBs look like an HOFer...

The interesting thing is now you guys will have something to play for in this last game, while oddly enough the Giants won't. I have a feeling the Eagles will be playing seriously come Sunday, while the Giants may be quick to sit people after the first quarter. They literally have nothing to gain by leaving their starters in there.

You're in the same situation with Washington. Their season is over whilst you need a win to stand any chance of winning the division and even the #1 seed.
Mind you, so are the 49ers as the Cardinals have nothing to play for.
We could see three games where one team is trying to win as quickly as possible to rest starters in the fourth quarter and the other team is playing for pride.

FWIW on Minshew’s arm, at the combine when the QBs arm velocity is timed when they throw it as hard as they can, his velocity was higher than Hurts.
This likely points to two things, his soft touch is by choice and Hurts arm strength improved.
I agree the game plan was brutal.
Perhaps that Minshew lit up the very good DAL D for more passing yards than any other QB this year, and significantly more than Hurts, gave them a false sense of security in our passing game..
In any event , we’ve killed NO on the ground the last two times. Given that and their poor run D and our excellent run O, that offensive game plan was stupid, no matter who the QB was.
