Board has been quiet...too quiet.
But I'm nervous. What I'm nervous about is Monday's game. I feel confident the offense should be ok but, oofah with Gannon and that defense and how he's handling the front line. With most coaches, I'd feel somewhat confident he would correct it but it's obvious Gannon doesn't give a F about what seems to make sense. And that scares me.
Minn has a good offense. Jefferson is a beast. No matter how good the DBs are, you can't cover someone that good 100% of the time. Without some pressure on the QB, this may be one of those games where we lose a shootout.

The defence was very worrying last week.
Not only do most of the key players have another year in Gannon's system, he's also been given a major injection of talent (Riddick, Davis, White, Dean, Bradberry, Gardner-Johnson) to work with.
If he can't turn things round, he'll deserve to be gone before our bye.

If he can't turn things round, he'll deserve to be gone before our bye. It's Gannon's scheme that is causing the issue. And, he absolutely REFUSES to make ANY adjustments based on what's happening in the game. Why on Earth did ANYONE think he would be a good HC? I ask that all of the time because I really just don't understand why he was interviewed by THREE teams in the offseason! Why couldn't someone have hired him away so we could get someone else in here...

Sirianni showed last year with his switch to a run first offense that he is willing to make the big decisions.
Gannon could be the next example of that if he persists with ideas like using Reddick in coverage.
As regards the HC question, who knows? It certainly wasn't based on our 2021 defensive performance.

You have a right to be nervous.
Cousins is one of the best QB's in the NFL in unimportant regular season games. Lucky for us, he struggles in primetime, but he's smoked us in WAS and MIN.
We'll need to score 32 points to win this one. Not impossible, but will be difficult.
Hurts and the offense played well last week. Not perfect, but got the job done. What baffles me when DC's look at the Eagles offense, is why they do what DET did last week. Why be blitz happy? I would mush rush Hurts, with an emphasis at flushing him to his left. We did the same thing to M. Vick when Jim Johnson was our DC. To me, that would limit him significantly.
We'll see.

The over/under is 50.5
Bet your kid's 529 plan on that over.

Not sure I would advise that...it seems when that is the obvious play the reverse happens. Watch this game turn into a 13-10 game...lol

That isn't professional advice, I'm just a random guy on the internet.
Now it's at 49.5 - throw your 401k on it as well.

Welp, guess I didn't need to worry about the defense last night...
Hurts was just plain special last night. Defense got it done. If they can bottle this up and bring it every week, they will win a lot of games.
But those penalties... (only real negative from last night)

I hate to say I told you so...lol I ended up not betting anything on it. For everyone else's sake, I hope they didn't follow my advice.
