My first choice would be that Hurts improves enough to be a capable starter for the next ten years. I don't think he'll be an elite "win because" QB but he can be a "win with " QB.
My second choice is that he has a shocking season, not out of any malice to someone who is by all accounts a decent guy, but because that will improve our draft position to take his replacement. Just business.

It's practice! People get crazy this time of the year. I get it and all but it's just practice...

I would not worry about it yet. Defenses typically get off to a faster start than offenses so I am not surprised.
I will start paying closer attention when we face off against the Jets in 9 days.

So I suggest you look at Reuben Frank's assessment...it has been ridiculous how much attention is paid to this silliness. AT the end of the day Hurts will be the QB this year and he will prove it on the field or fail. Every article has to include the idea that the Eagles looked at Wilson and Watson....shocker..a team looked at 2 of the top QBs when they have a guy under center with 20 games as a starter and was a 2nd round pick? Say it isn't so. What is more telling is that they had the money and the draft capital to get Wilson (money makes a player change his list of places to play) and they did not go after him.(Another of the D Gunn swings and misses) Can we please stop analyzing every throw? More to the point, can we stop giving voice to the lazy writers who know there are idiots out there hanging on every meaningless throw?

We're in a very good position regarding QB this season by adding Brown to Smith, Goedert and our OL, because now there are no caveats when it comes to Hurts' performances as a passer.
If he does well, then he's our starter going forward.
If he looks average with all those advantages in his favour, then we replace him.
And if he struggles, then we replace him.
Right now , it's training camp. I'll wait until we're four games into the season before forming an opinion.

So, he's had some good days at practice and some bad days at practice. That's how it works.

Yeah BLG is very much glass half empty when it comes to many players, Hurts in particular for whatever reason ( I dare say it's because he worked out a negative outlook generates more clicks than a positive one). Most observers had Hurts having an overall good practice on day 7 but in BLG world its a 'stock even'. & that's without his LT & a up against a D that has been doing well. I'll wait until the real stuff starts before passing any judgement on Hurts & I especially wont let the BLGs of this world get me worried in the meantime.

FWIW, Elliott Shorr Parks, the biggest proponent of Hurts last year, has it one up, two even and four down after seven days.
He said on his show yesterday, that only one writer of the ten he surveyed ( Ruben Franks), wasn’t concerned about Hurts performance so far.). The other nine including him, saw more down days. He said his long ball accuracy, holding onto the ball too long, and what he deemed as a paltry 4 yards per attempt were the biggest concern.
With the Eagles pussying out and not playing starters in the preseason, unfortunately this is all we have.

Have to wait and see what happens in game situations before knowing what's what.

Either you never have read BLG or you are his buddy....he is the biggest Hurts hater out there and most comments on his site rip him for it. This year he still does it but adds lots of caveats in case he is wrong. He may be the worst guy covering the Eagles.

Something happened with him and the Eagles and there is talk that he was going to get a gig with them and something happened and he was suddenly very negative. Regardless, after one week of practice I do not get too carried away and Franks has been to about 40 of these things and he is pretty even keeled as a beat writer. I put much more stock in him because he is not a click bait guy. he may be a dick and he carried Shady's water for years for access but he never gets too high or low. He is usually pretty on point with the birds.

Looks like he had a pretty good session last night.
That’s encouraging, or maybe it doesn’t matter.
I select the former.

Had a good few days from the sounds of it which yes is encouraging.
Looks like the starters will play a series or two on Friday so it would be good to see signs, however small, that Hurts has improved from last year.

I don't care about much in TC. As long as he does not look horrible overall than i am ok. It will be how he looks in week one. I think the bad is overrated and the good is overrated. Both sides of the ball are trying things and that can mask what is good and bad.

Good series for Hurts and the offense. You cannot complain about going 6 for 6 and a TD. Hurts looked comfortable and in charge of the offense. If Hurts can improve on his completion percentage this offense will be very difficult to stop. The only thing I wanted to see that did not happen is a deep shot. Maybe next week.

He looked calm cool and collected. Spread the ball around, on time. It was good to see. Looks like he’s strung a few good ones together, so maybe he’s turned the corner.
I only watched the first half so far.
I thought Minshew played well also. There were reports that he was struggling in camp too, but he looked good too.
Was a little disappointed in the efficiency of the run game. Huntley could have read blocks better IMO. Not sure why we haven’t signed Howard. He’s played well for us when needed. I’d jump at signing him, unless he quit football. I need to look up where he’s been.
Paschal looked good. Looks like my concern on Jergens may not be warranted. Dude looked like a Kelce Jr out there.
The kid Davis is a beast. We could have a real good one there.
DL overall looked solid. P/Y draft pick T. Jackson is coming along. Great to see BG’s smiling mug back and healthy.
The LBs looked talented . UDFA Edwards from a few years ago, looks really good . And he hits! He was projected as a 4th round pick and we got him as an UDFA.
A little concern on the DBs.
I’ll watch the second half later today.
