When we played the Saints the first time around (and got creamed), Schwartz was playing with a major handicap or two. The secondary was a total disaster .. Mills was out, Jones was out, Darby was out, Maddox was playing his second game at safety in place of McLeod and the DL was limited. This time around both the secondary and the DL have stabilized.
Besides Brees, it's Kamara and Ingram that worry me going into the game ... and both had been running their mouths about the Eagles earlier.
I don't see this game being a replay of the regular season match-up and really it's as much a test for Groh/Pederson as it is for Schwartz. The coaches are all saying the right things, but the players have revenge on their mind. I'm sure Payton will have his team focused, but I also suspect they remember how they cruised right through us before, and Kamara's comments about kicking the Eagles' asses last year if they had played us in the playoffs may play.
On a separate topic, I was reading that a lot of people are picking the Cowboys to upset the Rams. This will be an interesting weekend. Not sure how I feel about that.

Our defence will be a lot better, but stopping the Saints offense is still a big ask. Getting to Brees is almost impossible (just 15 sacks) so we need to get a lead to force them away from the run. Easier said than done though.

We'll see. I like our chances. Our boys have motivation, and I'm starting to feel oddly confident. In my whole life, every single season I've felt that way we win the Super Bowl. So we got that going for us...
