A year early (shades of the old days under Banner) but he's now under contract for 2022.
We've got a great position on the OL now with Seumalo, Kelce, Brooks and Johnson all here long term. The only question is LT where we have Peters for 2019 but a question mark after that. Should we extend Vaitai as a potential starter/key reserve, do we rely on Mailata making it or are we looking at the 2020 draft class?

My first reaction was why?
He has never impressed me. He had the job handed to him two years ago, but then was replaced by Wis. I see that Isaacs PFF ranks are better than Wis,, but I don't see it on film.
We'll have to see how much they paid to see if it was a bad deal. With limited cap room to spend, we could have waited a year for this, if it ended up costing us any cap room that is.

I also have to think that Stoutland and the other coaches had some input. OTOH, I also wonder why they kept Warmack as long as they did.

The Eagles know Seumalo, know how he fits our system and how he works with the other OL. That makes him a safer bet than trying to plug in a FA or rookie who on paper/film looks to be slightly better.
Fair point that the longevity of the non-contributing Warmack calls their judgement into question.
