Apparently for a mid-rounder. I'd take Foles over Flacco at this point in both their careers ... am I being a homer? Here ya go ...

No you're not being a homer, of course Foles is better than Flacco. The Ravens free up cap space and get a 4th, and the Broncos get a veteran former SB winning QB. We obviously would've wanted more than that.

I've heard we're looking for a second, but I'd be happy with a third this year.

I've heard we're looking for a second, but I'd be happy with a third this year. Foles is worth a second, but teams know we can't afford to keep him which will cut the price we get so I'd agree that a third is reasonable. Of course, that's assuming that a team wants Foles badly enough to make a trade offer as opposed to waiting for him to become a FA and then taking its chances in open bidding.

What happened of the talk about a franchise for purposes of trading being against the rules?
I have to believe that's an issue.

What happened of the talk about a franchise for purposes of trading being against the rules? I have to believe that's an issue. Intent has to be proven. It doesn't matter if everyone on the planet outside of the FO knows their intent - as long as they don't say it, they can do it. Think of tanking in the NBA. We all know it happens, but no NBA GM or Owner would dare say it - well, except that douchebag Mark Cuban, who was rewarded with a $600k fine last year.

What happened of the talk about a franchise for purposes of trading being against the rules? I have to believe that's an issue. Only if Foles and his agent decide to make one out of it. Your head office has to know that, so I'm guessing the silence from both sides of the issue so far means they're both okay with going this route. At least for now.
