to covet.
Looking at the teams with three or more losses, here's the best three.
I think all could be had for a 3rd or a 3rd plus a late round sweetener.
Current year PFF grade and position along with 2018 PFF grade:
C. Harris, DEN, age 30, 67.6, 30th, 85.5 in '18 K. Jackson, DEN, age 31, 76.9, 14th, 79.5 in '18 S. Nelson, PIT, age 26, 78.7, 10th, 72.1 in '18
any interest?

I'm not interested in a 30 something short term fix, which means Nelson would be the one I'd look at in more detail.

The last 2 years our defensive line covered up just how bad our secondary was, plus Jenkins was in his prime. With our current personnel we're going to have to work in some more blitzes.

And they need to disguise said blitzes better. They have been blitzing, it just doesn't look like it because they aren't getting anywhere near the QB.

As the trade deadline nears hopefully a couple more teams are playing for rebuilding/draft picks, and will be willing to part with their CBs for less. Pittsburgh is still a decent team despite the rough start, and when BR is back next year they'll be playing for one final SB run with him, so I doubt they'd deal away their young talent.

If they could get Von Miller, then yes, the guy is a beast and he's still in his prime. Problem with hoping for a good draft pick is, we can't seem to draft a good CB...

I think we're better off building our defense for a run this year. Our offense should absolutely be able to keep us in contention with other teams if healthy, and I know that's a big enough if, but our secondary hasn't shown the ability to hold a team if/when healthy. We've got enough late round picks to take a chance on grooming an underdog CB and trade away some of our higher picks on some above average defensive talent this year. Just my two cents tho.
