went to the game on Sunday and saw that debacle live.
had to step away for a few days.
last night I binged watched the post game show and every press conference since then.
Two things that were a consistent thread throughout all of the things I watched:
1. There was no panic at all, and very little visible frustration and zero anger.
2. Players took responsibility for the outcome. This point is unquestionably a good thing.
As far as the first point, I'm concerned. I would prefer a bunch of pissed off guys and I dont see it. Even the post game show panel had no venom.
Green Bay has never lost a home Thursday night game. If we are going to be the cause for their first time, you need a pissed off mad at the world approach. I don't see it.
The ebb and flow of the NFL would definitely point to us having a shot. Is GB good enough to be a 4-0 team? Are we bad enough to be a bottom five 1-3 NFL team?
Id like to think both answers are no.
I see no urgency.
They better get it soon or it will be an embarrassing loss tonight.

I understand calm but the defensive line should be pissed. ONE FRIGGIN SACK!!!?? IN 3 GAMES!!?? That's beyond pathetic and beyond just having guys injured. The guys in there just aren't getting it done. Cox? Is he on the field? Sweat? Sure, you're playing better but you're not getting the job done. Grahm? Where are you? I could go on. The offense has enough injuries to use that as an excuse, however, 8 drops!! A drop in Atlanta that literally cost us a game-winning TD. Another drop that cost us a TD again (yes they scored eventually but lost another 2 minutes when they were down at the end) and another drop that would have either been a game-winning TD or had us inside the 5 with plenty of time to score. Multiple other drops that would have either give us big 1st downs or into a more manageable down and distance. Offense gets set up at the 50 after blocking a FG and does....NOTHING (drops didn't help). Anemic running game. Where are the big guys up front blocking??? They've done an ok (maybe) job of giving Wentz time but still have big breakdowns. They can't seem to block worth a damn for the running game. And, we keep forgetting we have Howard who is a pretty good RB and instead keep trying to force the rookie to run and we can see he has fumbling issues. Sproles is great but, have we thrown one swing pass or screen to him where he's most-dangerous?? Basically, the playcalling has been absolute shit. Groh sucks as an OC. I'm done with him. They can still win tonight, GB is very beatable. Their offense has struggled. If the defense can finally step up and get something done, they can win tonight. Offense gets Jeffrey back. not sure how healthy he is but it's got to be better than what we've been trotting out there the past 2 games. Overall, Wentz has played well but he's still missing a few big throws and missing a few open receivers. He needs to clean that up. The O-line needs to do a better job of giving him time ALL of the time, not just in stretches. More-importantly, I don't know who handles their strength and conditioning over the past 3 seasons but they have to go. They have had soft-tissue injuries all over the place. These are preventable. I don't know what they're doing wrong but, whatever they're doing isn't working. This has gotten ridiculous. This team is starting to remind me of the Dream Team. Everyone has been telling them they're good and they seem to be believing it and not going out to prove it. They need a kick in the ass. The good news is, the NFC is pretty weak overall. Nobody scares me enough to think they don't have a chance to beat them. Not that there aren't tough teams out there but even the tough teams--GB, Dallas, Rams, etc.--aren't unbeatable. I'm not convinced any of them are better than the Eagles but the Eagles have to show up and play and get the job done. I'm most-concerned about the lack of pass rush. Oh, and, they have had a very difficult time creating turnovers since last season. If they don't get these things figured out, this will be a very long season....

This team should be frustrated as hell that they're not 3-0. Yes, there were dumb mistakes on the players' part, but I'm convinced it all falls on the coaching staff. Are there any better options at OC on the horizon? Groh has too much talent on his hands to not be putting up 30+ every week. Doug HAS to see this.

The problem might be that ya'll are a 1-2 team that really doesn't feel like a 1-2 team. Contrary to Parcells' famous statement, nobody thinks you are who your record says you are. That being the case, the players may simply feel the current record is a statistical glitch that will sort itself out shortly and there is no undue cause for concern. If you win tonight, that POV will feel validated and business will continue as normal. If not, then you will probably start seeing urgency showing itself.

I honestly don't see how we beat GB tonight. We're going to see for real just how bad our secondary is. The Packers look to be in Super Bowl form.
Looking at our schedule, we very well could be 2-7 going into the bye week. I don't actually think we'll have that bad a record, but we have a stretch of really tough games. Hell, the Bills are 3-0. After the bye it's the Pats and Seattle.
We're going to know within a month what kind of team this really is. Beat the best, or go home.

I can't blame it all on coaching, they do still have to go out and get the job done. The defensive line has done almost nothing to help. The offensive line hasn't kept its end of the bargain. People dropping balls like it's 2016. However, I wasn't a fan of Groh last season and he hasn't seemed to have gotten any better. I understand the injuries but the offense was healthy in week 1 and they struggled. They haven't looked all that great (overall) in the first 3 games. Talent helps but, if your scheme sucks, it sucks.

Excellent point and goes along with what I mentioned about this team being like the Dream Team. I fear they're believing the hype and that's ALWAYS dangerous. This team does not look hungry at all.

I feel better about this game than I did the Lions, Jeffery back in is huge provided he is fit and we can't possibly see another offensive performance as bad as last week.
Defence is my main concern though, can they limit Rogers to a beatable score, who knows.
Beautiful sunny spring morning here in Melbourne & I get to stay inside to watch the Birds!
