Depends on whether he's going to shut his mouth and just play. He's constantly talking crap. Just not a good look.

Apparently the Jags turned down that offer. I'd say fuck 'em at this point. It's possible they're biding their time and gauging his value in order to make a long term offer (his problems come from perceived disrespect from the FO). If they actually intended to trade him they wouldn't be playing him either. A 1st, a 2nd, and a 1st round TE pick from last year?!?!? That's a price for a franchise QB, not a primadonna CB.

When was the last time we had a player like Ramsey? Not only in terms of talent but behavior as well. I want to say it was T.O. but I feel like I'm missing someone since then.

Our biggest need going forward is a top CB.
We could draft one next year in the first round, if the right player is available and that player then works out. Or we could trade for a proven star. Difficult choice?
We have the cap room, so let's offer our first in 2020 and 2021.

TO was a complete prick who was also one of the top 3 WR's ever. Ramsey is a complete prick who's made 2 Pro Bowls, and doesn't deserve to be put in the same sentence as TO in terms of talent. Hell, Richard Sherman has more class, and was a lot more talented. He won't last a full season before causing problems.

Trading for defensive backs is a dicey business that often ends up with a team grossly overpaying for a player who doesn't turn out be very good other than where he came from.

With Darby out, I feel Howie made the call

The big question is, if they were to trade for him--assuming he wouldn't be an asshat in the lockeroom (a stretch)--how do his talents fit into the, "scheme," Schwartz likes to play. Mainly, when you have a guy playing off 10 yards on 3rd and 10, then have him backpedal, it's REALLY hard to stop the play from happening in front of you.

Considering that our defensive line has only generated 1 sack in 3 games and our secondary has has intercepted/batted down multiple passes, I'm more interested in investing in a DE/DT than a potential locker room/media distraction. Graham and Cox need to elevate their game Thursday night. We knew losing Long and Bennett would affect our ability to create pressure, and losing Jackson and Jernigan was just an extra kick in the teeth.

They are getting very little pressure. Sure, they got more the other day than last week but still was not a good look.

I'm not ready to be concerned just yet with the performance by our D-line, but depending on their play Thursday night, I could hop that fence. If we can't get to the QB when they're playing behind lower tier O-lines, what's gonna happen when we get to Dallas-level O-lines? Are we just gonna suddenly learn how to win playing man coverage?

There is talk Stefon Diggs wants out of Minnesota. He might fit your current needs more than Ramsey

The D-line stepped up as far as getting pressure on the QB. Unfortunately, Rodgers is just too good at getting away. Should have had multiple sacks Thursday night, as well as multiple picks! But I can live with one big strip-sack for now.
I know we re-signed Scandrick, but this team is still in desperate need of a star CB. Rasul is our best man out there, but that's really not saying a lot, is it?
