I chose this game to make the trip with the family and at 17-0 I thought I had made a huge mistake. Fortunately, we got to experience an amazing comeback that nearly turned into a blowout.
A few random thoughts...
1) The playcalling was horrible for the first quarter and a half. All runs or throws of less than 5 yards. And when we ran, they were all to the outside. I was screaming for something up the middle or down the field. Luckily, Doug heard me in the second half.
2) The defense might be in trouble. Not only did we not generate pressure up front with their best lineman out, but we also didn’t cover well deep and didnt tackle. The davis touchdown where he bounced off 4 guys was pitiful. So much for the defense being ahead of the offense.
3) Wentz had at least 2 escapes from the pocket where he threw on target for amazing completions. This is why he’s so good at 3rd down. The td throw to Alshon was crazy accurate.
4) Why was there no deep safety help on the long bombs against us? They’ve got a guy with 4.3 speed and we have no one deep?
Had a great long weekend in Philly. Looking forward to the next trip!

Good game to go to.
Our D is in trouble. CBs can't cover and can't tackle after they can't cover.
That's a bad combo.
Seth Joyner and Barrett Brooks were saying on postgame that there is no creativity when we blitz. Everyone knows when we're doing it and it's plain vanilla.
Maybe Dawk can show Schwartz some of Jim Johnsons blitzes he would draw up on napkins.
Looks like a bottom half D to me.
The O should be top 5.
Hopefully our STs can get back to the stellar play we had for a few years.

Yes, my big fear from Sunday was absolutely no pressure when playing a bunch of nobodies. And he still refuses to blitz at all on top of that. This has me concerned.
I think the offense should be fine. They really should put up 30+ every week with all of those weapons.
