We were completely out of it 6 weeks ago.

Absolutely, and a good game considering the in-game injuries. Foles and the play calling cooled off after the first quarter and N.O. made adjustments that allowed their O to eat up the clock. Time for people to heal and get ready for a serious run in 2019.

Yes. Let's heal up makevthe necessary personnel moves and come back ready next year.
Alston catches that ball 95/100 times.
As painful as it was to watch, defense only gave up 20 points. Can't fault them. We had the game in our hands in the end.
I am definitely a changed fan. That SB win has made this loss a lot easier than they were pre SB win.

I'd wager that no team has ever had such a strong 2 year run with the injuries we've faced. I am not down on the team at all. I've never been prouder to be an Eagles fan. Fly! Eagles, fly!
Now I guess I'll root for Andy to get himself a ring.

I think everybody knew who was going to be playing in the NFC Championship by midseason. It's just their year. Simply the fact you made them earn it is plenty to be proud of.

The Saints are a very good team, but not the juggernaut they're made out to be. And don't forget you guys beat them this year and the Eagle beat the Rams. Any give Sunday.

Pilinha and I told ourselves before the game that we'd handle the expected loss better than usual on account that at least the Pukes had lost the night before.
Did not go that way. We were devestated. It was within our grasp which is incredible really. On the road for like the Nth number of consecutive games, against the top ranked team, facing them at one of the hardest places to win and having them rested essentially for two weeks, and yet - it comes down to a miscatch from one of the most sure-handed receivers in the league.
Major kudos to the whole team, but especially the coaches. That was indeed herculean from everyone on that team.

I'm with you. I expected a close game likely resulting in a loss, but the fact that we played poor for much of the game and were still in a position to take the lead with 2 minutes left pissed me off. I almost wish we just got our asses kicked.

I almost wish we just got our asses kicked. No way! Never want to go out with a whimper, ever. More important, the Saints were playing with essentially a full roster and the Eagles were pretty much decimated at RB, DL and the secondary. Kicking their asses in the first quarter and keeping the game in reach until the final drive exposes their petty bullshit shade they keep throwing at us. They bragged about how they would have thrashed us in the playoffs last year, ran up the score on us in November when we had basically no secondary and disrespected us after winning a nail biter-against a team depleted by injuries before and during the game. Fuck that team, their asshole coach and the whiny RB tandem. Fuck 'em!

I don't get the hatred from their side. Added to that, we lost the 1981 SB there, and now I really hate em! Lol It's weird how little I've heard about the trash talk too. Usually that kind of stuff gets covered.

It's weird how little I've heard about the trash talk too. Usually that kind of stuff gets covered. The league has a vested interest in not making the Saints the 'bad guys,' especially since a Saints/Pats SB in highly likely. The consensus of us few here is that we wouldn't have minded them winning before their classless displays after the game. It isn't hard to realize why only Philly media was covering that.

It was great to still be in a position to win it but I really wasnt happy with the play calling for much of the second half. Example one - Goedert has proved to be highly reliable weapon yet, unless I blinked & missed it, I didnt see him targeted once. Was he that well covered ALL FUCKING GAME? & the keepys off defense on long yardage plays, dont get me started. Yes we kept them to 20 but that one long Saints drive that just went on & on & on was really killer, both for wearing out the D & keeping our Offense off the field. Highly frustrating stuff.
Anyhow, as others have said, the Eagles could just as easily been sitting out the playoffs so to get in & win a game & threaten to steal another has to be respected given the state of the roster. But they left a W on the field in this one.
One last comment - Eagles medical & conditioning staff? Yeah I wouldnt be counting on any end of season bonuses, those areas need a thorough review this offseason - there's bad luck & then there's what happened to the Eagles roster this season, heads must roll.
