Some of you know I live in Jacksonville (originally from Trenton, NJ and grew up a diehard Eagles' fan). Anyway, we have an indoor football team we've gotten into here. They play in the summer and, if you've never spent any amount of time in FL in the summer, then you know it's basically as hot as the surface of the sun for about 3-4 months out of the year. They play during this time. So it's nice to sit inside a very-well air conditioned arena watching football. It also doesn't hurt they (the Sharks) are one of the best indoor football teams in the US.
Anyway, back when our beloved Eagles won a SB (you know, all those years ago) the Sharks here in Jax won their championship (again). They lost in the playoffs last season and last night they were playing for their 2nd championship in 3 years (and trying to win their 15th straight game). Well, was a hard-fought game and extremely exciting with the Sharks coming back from 2-score deficits twice with the 2nd time being scoring a TD with 7 seconds (or something like that) in the game to go ahead after a pick 6 pulled them within one score. They wound up tackling the opposing player on the last play of the game on the Sharks' 3 yard line to win. But I digress....
Anyway, I'm hoping this is a good omen for our Eagles. Looking forward to this season and hoping for the best (as always). The Sharks did their part, not it's the Eagles' turn....
