How does this team compare to the SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS? My level of excitement and anticipation for this team is high. Groh and Taylor have had a year to grow into their new jobs, the RB situation looks to be fixed, Wentz is (hopefully) healthy and there's a lot of talent surrounding him. I'm not as high on the defense, but I remember that Howie was still adding players after the draft last year. No doubt in my mind they're going for it again and no doubts they have a legit chance ... maybe better than they did in 2017.
Offense:
QB - We lose Nick, but I'm excited to see how Sudfeld does and especially if Wentz returns to 2017 form.
RB - Our RB situation looks better than the SB crew, assuming Sanders can be the compliment to Howard. Howard, Sanders and Clement should be productive and exciting.
WR - Adding DJax is huge and I'm really interested to see what happens with Hollins, but I don't see anything that says this group isn't better than the SB WRs.
TE - Same group but Goedert has a year of experience. If Hollins takes a step, with the addition of JJAW the WRs and TEs will be scary in the RZ.
OL - Probably Peters' last year and let's hope he has enough left to go out in a good way. Adding Dillard is a big plus ... on paper ... and should be a bonus year of getting up to NFL standards. I'm a bit concerned how Brooks will be, but hopefully Pryor is able to fill the hole until he's back full speed.
Defense:
DT - I'm really hoping Jackson isn't done. Adding him to Cox and Jernigan gives Schwartz a rotation that will keep pressure on offenses and fear in the hearts of QBs.
DE - Be nice if Long plays another year, and it's a shame Bennett didn't stay but this is still a good group. Sweat needs to step up, Barnett return healthy and Curry return to what he had in 2017.
LB - It's a good thing Schwartz doesn't value LBs. Not sure it's a weakness, but ...
S - How long can Jenkins keep it up? Will McCleod come back from his injury? Does Sendejo have enough left to be the third S and potentially start if there's an injury?
CB - I honestly think this is one of the stronger positions on the defense.
Special Teams:
K - Same
P - Same
KR - Who?
PR - Who?
