Umm, perhaps you need to listen to his comments again. All I heard was a blunt and realistic evaluation of our expectations of Wentz. He didn't put it nicely, but why would he? If Wentz doesn't make it to a conference championship this year or next, he's going to quickly find out what McNabb found out the second he was drafted: we have completely earned our reputation as a fan base. Especially if Jax is going deep in the playoffs. He took us to 5 NFC championship games and a Super Bowl - with James Trash, Todd Pinkston, and FredEx. If Andy Reid's fat ass valued the WR position during most of his tenure and knew how to manage a clock, we wouldn't be discussing this. Oh, and Andy still can't win the big one. Absolutely Wentz has no excuse to not have success with the weapons around him. Sometimes I really can't stand Eagles fans. Yeah he should know everything he says will be put under a microscope from the idiots at WIP, but I'll never blame him for not fully embracing the city. Why the hell would he? |

While he never got to experience it himself, I figured he would want us to win - if for no other reason than to beat the Belichick/Brady Patriots, who beat him in the SB. After the game, he tweeted "Congratulations to the 2017-2018 @eagles for win the Super Bowl. Great game plan by Doug and excellent effort by the boys. Eagle for life. Bird gang." That was more than enough for me, and I had a lot of fun that night and after. But that wasn't enough for you haters - after all, where's the exclamation points? He must be faking it!!! Several Eagles fans I know used the moment to further hate on him. I'm not sure about Reid's immediate reaction, but you would think he wanted his protege DP to beat the same team HC/QB that beat him as well. IMO Reid had far more reason to not root for us - after all, Doug was a HC for 2 years before eclipsing the one thing Reid never has done (and never will). Dawkins never won one either, but he was heavily involved in the organization and got his ring by default, so of course he was ecstatic. I guess your question proves my whole point - instead of being just happy and 'liking' his tweet, or better yet moving on with your life, you chose in that moment to dwell on #5's 'genuine' reaction. That makes you a hater, and the fact that so many did that is why he never fully embraced the city. |

No, I was not a McNabb hater.
Matter of fact, my company spent a lot of time doing work in his house on Cortland Shire in Moorestown his first eight years or so in town.
For years, it was Dawk and him, 1-2 for me. His wife Roxie is aces.
I wanted nothing but the best for him and us.
Sadly over the years that's changed.
What could have been.

No, I was not a McNabb hater. Matter of fact, my company spent a lot of time doing work in his house on Cortland Shire in Moorestown his first eight years or so in town. For years, it was Dawk and him, 1-2 for me. His wife Roxie is aces. I wanted nothing but the best for him and us. Sadly over the years that's changed. What could have been. Ok - so what exactly did he say that was incorrect? Or are you upset he isn't a cheerleader? |
