This board is so dead lately it probably voted Democrat.
He got his chance, with the Senate and likely the House. Clean up that town or go to jail. It's on now.

LOL. I didn't vote Democrat. I think the best word to describe how I feel right now is "relieved." I'm relieved that the depravity we've seen in recent years is not yet predominant in our society. It could yet happen, and perhaps it yet will - but not, I think, today. If you look back at history, all the way back to the ancients, the downfall of a society comes primarily from moral decay. The old testament book of Judges is a case study in this phenomenon. Israel obeyed the principals given to it in the Law, prospered, got fat dumb and happy, got lazy and immoral, and fell into decay. Over and over in that one old testament book - I think it was six times the cycle repeated. (It's been a while, feel free to read for yourself and correct me on that point.) The summary of the book comes in the 17th chapter, 6th verse: "In those days there was no king in Israel; every man did that which was right in his own eyes . . . " (The absence of a King was an historic reality, but also a metaphor for no governing ethic/morality.)
We have been given a reprieve. The republic will survive, for now. Mr. Trump has a grave responsibility to deliver, to set us on a course that others can follow. In the immortal words of Rush Limbaugh: "My success does not depend on who wins elections." I'll be fine, barring a medieval level breakdown of society. But my kids and grandkids deserve the opportunities in a free society/economy that I was given. The gravitational pull of history is toward tyranny and man's inhumanity toward his fellow man. Toward repression, grievance, recrimination, and fear. The line is thin - pray that it holds.

Yes, I feel the same.
Originally 80% relieved, 20% hopeful.
They seem to have their act together so I’ll go up a few notches on the hopeful..
If you find the Elon Musk and Joe Rogan podcast for right before the election (right before Rogan gave his endorsement), go to the one hour and eleven minute mark of the three hour interview and you will hear Musk spell out how close we were to losing democracy.
Trump should let Vance do the communicating. The guy has skills and can squash some of the flack.
I was just reading an article that explained how Obama was involved in the Russiagate hoax. What a racist fraud.
Judging by the world’s reaction maybe we have a shot. Maybe the kids will start behaving now that the adults are coming home.
We’ll see.
Robbie, what was your reaction?
