I'm in favor of both OC and DC being failed HCs who were successful as coordinators. It just seems to me that there's more risk in hiring young guys who may be great or may stumble and crash. Continuity is underrated, IMO, and guys who've been fired as HC a couple of times but got those jobs because they were good coordinators have a much better chance of hanging around. Let 'em hire young up-and-coming geniuses to keep the system from going stale. Reid hired great coordinators but had a problem replacing them, just as Doug did, and just as Nick did. Get guys who will likely stay around and keep the CEO HC concept.
I like Rivera or Frazier as DC. McDaniels will probably follow Belichick wherever he goes and I'm not sure how I feel about Reich. Some of you guys are tuned in a lot better than I am though, any thoughts?

I'm a big fan of Fangio, and of course they're interviewing some college guy for OC.
And how does Sirianni get a pass in all this? He stuck with Brian Johnson. This offense should put up 17+ points a game if a 12-year old Madden player was running it. SMH

I found this to be interesting, especially because I'm DKD (Don't Know Diddly). The Book of Fangio

I feel much better with these two veteran coordinators. It will make a difference. While I'm not a fan of the Fangio style defense, he was named by a panel of three decorated coaches as the toughest Defense to go up against (Shanahan, McVey and ? ). While I had everything Dallas not named Dreagon, Moore did a real good job there and he is a master of burning the blitz so that should help if the QB is game. It always puzzled me why we went with two rookie coordinators last year, with a HC that didn't call plays.

Moore likes a balanced run/pass ratio with a lot of play-action calls. He favors more runs in the first half, then goes to more passing in the second. He knows how to use a good running back. If he had any weakness that I remember, it was only that he almost always passed when in a shotgun formation (well over 90%) and didn't run from that enough to keep defenses honest. He may have corrected that since being with us, but watch for it.
