Are we rooting for the Lions or against the Lions? (Obviously rooting FOR their opponents is not an option!!)

I think the Lions' loss helped in the long-shot bid for #1 seed. As badly as the Niners got beat up last week - it's not impossible they could drop one to the Redskirts or the Rams.

I think the Rams have a better chance, but it doesn't make any difference if the Eagles don't get their game fixed.

Obviously we root for the Lions. How is that even a question?
If we don't win against both the Cardinals and Giants, we don't deserve jack shit anyway.

Because if the Lions had won out and the Eagles win out and the Niners (unlikely) drop one, the Eagles and Lions would be tie and I wasn't sure what the tiebreakers were. Doesn't matter anymore because the Lions lost, so the Eagles will have a better record if they win out. As long as the #1 seed is mathematically possible, that's what I'm rooting for.

Actually, the Lions would've had the better record vs. common opponents if they won, and would be ahead of us. So you're right, for some reason I thought we beat them this season.

I thought so too until I looked . . . hence the original question.
