I'm old enough to remember the shitty years. Obviously, I remember the SB win and losses. This team is nothing like I've ever seen. They just go out and win no matter what. I am just going to try and enjoy the ride as long as it lasts.
Sick of hearing all of the excuses about how the Eagles get lucky, etc. Bills' fans are now saying the officials won that game for the Eagles. There is ALWAYS an excuse. Playing the victim is not a good look.
No idea what will happen in the rest of the season but I'm going to enjoy it either way. I'm going to expect them to win again this weekend...not that they can't lose but, why would I doubt them until they actually lose with the way they've been playing?
Stop looking for reasons for them to lose and just enjoy a winning team...

7 of our 10 wins have come by one score or less. We've looked like absolute shit in most games for large parts of the game. KC should've won last week, and absolutely 100% we stole that game against the Bills. There's nothing wrong or unusual with fans recognizing that our luck will run out in January if we don't get it together. It's also pretty clear we've taken a step back from last year overall. Until we win the SB, might as well get used to the same talk.

Until we win the SB, might as well get used to the same talk. And so what? We're also playing the hardest schedule in the league. Everyone is coming hard for us. Let's not forget how many bad weather games they've played (another one this weekend, btw). It's not luck, you make your own luck. How many games have we endured over the years where we should have won the game but lost a close one? It's about time things bounced back into our favor. I totally get it but, again, the victim look is not a good look. The Chiefs fans, Cowboys fans, Bills fans all are crying and claiming it was luck. Was it luck that the Cowgirls blew yet another close game? They had the ball 1st and goal with a chance to win the game. Was it luck Sweat sacked Dak (ok, he didn't get the sak but it was better than a sack). I'm thinking our defense had a little to do with that. Was it just because of bad/missed calls that the Bills gave up 37 points?? Was it luck the Eagles' defense shut out the Chiefs in the 2nd half? Sure, talk about drops but they've been doing that for the past 2 seasons. Just like a few years ago when we had shit for receivers and none of them could catch a ball. You could also argue the receivers who dropped the ball when they were open might have been open due to the field conditions. The offense knows where they're going, the defense has to react...on a wet field...so they'll be slightly behind anyway. Would those receivers have been open on a dry field? I don't know. I'm not saying I am oblivious to the breaks we've gotten, however, we have had a little something to do with some of those breaks and we've been on the other side of those breaks many times over the years. It all has a way of evening out. The bigger takeaway is this team just keeps playing hard and believes they can come back. That's also not luck. I know the haters will hate, I'm more talking about our own fans who still refuse to believe this is an elite team. Doesn't mean they'll win the SB--or even another game--but, this has never happened before so why not just enjoy it?

"Enjoying the ride" is for NPCs and cheerleaders. I've invested 40 years in rooting for this team and have a grand total of one ring. It's good watching them be elite. It's also troubling that they often dig themselves into holes and have to rescue themselves, or count on the opponent fucking up. They have a -2 turnover difference this year, as opposed to +8 last year. That's a swing of 10, and it'll almost certainly bite them when it counts. And if they should get through it and win a ring, I'll cheer and enjoy it.

This has never happened before (for us certainly and some of it ever in the NFL) and probably won't happen again. Does this mean I'm satisfied if they don't win the SB? Not at all. But all of the negative Nancys out there need to calm down, have a drink (or smoke) and try and enjoy watching a really good football team.
