A lot to feel good about going into week 4 against the Commies at home. Definitely still some stuff to be apprehensive about but it's the perfect game to work it out.
I called it with AJ Brown last week. Even with the missed TD, #11 came to play! Missed it with Reddick, but against this Washington O-line I'm willing to double down he'll show up.
Looking forward to see us build off this momentum and get back to looking like the NFC champs.

I'm always worried when playing them. Ever since I can remember, doesn't matter how good/bad either team is. Almost ALWAYS close and we tend to play down to their level.

Wow, what a game. Good win over a Washington team that is apparently legit.

I don't think the Eagles could have tried any harder to give that game away.
First, not running out the clock and then kicking the FG with no time left. I know it felt great when Brown caught that TD to put them up by 7 but it was a stupid decision to go for that. We saw the consequences.
Then Brown with the taunting. You have to know better. That cost the Eagles about 15 yards in field position.
Then Hurts with the intentional grounding. He has been around long enough to know what to do in that situation.
That really was piss poor football and they should feel very fortunate to come out with a W.
I know we won and are 4-0 but this team needs to get their shit together.

With you on everything except the intentional grounding. Don't know who's fault it was--Hurts' or the receiver--since obviously, they weren't on the same page. But that defense has to get it's act together. They keep getting pressure but don't quite get there. Coverage on the back end has been shaky at times but incredible at other times. They need to get more consistent. Tackling yesterday was absolutely horrible. I really like Blackenship but he needs to wrap up on every tackle, not just every so often. Jobe looks promising but is making some mistakes...to be expected as a rookie. Slay was getting toasted yesterday. More importantly...RUN THE DAMN BALL!!!! Why on Earthy they keep trying to get cute is beyond me. All 4 games have been the same...march the ball into the red zone then...get cute. Just put the ball in the friggin' endzone and stop with crazy plays. And please, I really like Gainwell, but can we NOT give him the ball on 3rd and 11 in the red zone? I mean, they use Swift the get there, then pull him and put Gainwell in. He's a nice player but he's not nearly as good as Swift. The drop off is so noticeable when Gainwell comes in it's like a slap in the face. I believe yesterday was more on the coaches than anything. Defense plays horrible in zone coverage. Just about EVERY time they blitzed yesterday they either got a sack (more Morrow please!) or a pressure and bad throw. So, what do you do on 3rd and long in a situation where you need a stop and the game is over? Sit back 7-10 yards back and backpedal and let them complete a pass for a 1st down. I'm not saying to blitz on every down but come on already!! They couldn't pick up our blitz. So use it! Frustrating to watch! And the offensive play calling is all over the place. They lean heavy into the run until they get stopped for a short/no gain then get pass happy again. Needed to run time off the clock at the end of the game...no runs. Throw a TD pass with too much time remaining. I'm not saying it was bad to score, I'm saying it was bad they didn't even remotely try to run any time off the clock. This team has a TON of talent. It's being held back by these coordinators.

I think overall we're a tiny tad bit worse than we were last year, on both sides of the ball. That still may very well be enough to win it all - but after Sunday night I'm just praying for a Mahomes torn-ACL or something. That was brutal how blatantly the refs were giving them calls for the whole Swift-Kelce-Pfizer scheme that's going on. At least we're more likely to get a fair shake against Miami/Buffalo/Balt/SF or whoever else. They've become the new Brady/Pats.

Good points by all.
Seth Joyner had a good observation.
On one specific play, he singled out Washington 4th and 2 late in the game. Slay was playing ten yards deep on 4th and 2!! Makes zero sense.
Also , he said the secondary coverage is out of sync with the DL.
When a team is getting the ball out in two seconds to prevent sacks from our DL beating the blockers, DB playing Off ball is giving QBs an easy out. Bring the DBs up to make the QB have to hold it a second longer and give our DL a chance. He said a good veteran QB like Stafford will eat us alive.
It bears watching.

Yup, I don't believe it's the players, I believe it's coaching at this point. If you don't put players into a position to make a play, how can we expect them to make a play?

I couldn't care less who ANYONE is dating. I understand why the NFL is leaning into this but I agree this smells of past years where it was obvious the NFL wanted a certain team to win. Think about how much more coverage they'd get if they make the SB again....imagine if they win! Him and her hugging on the field. SMH...

Or Kelce. Or hopefully both.....

Optimistic as ever, I'm expecting us to shell out in the week 8 match-up against the Commies as I fully expect us to lose to Miami in week 7 and be desperate for a win before that big stretch of tough games.
Even with the bye, November-December looks tough as hell. Those last 2 weeks of December are hopefully a breath of relief. Being as absolutely optimistic and biased as possible, I'm hoping to go 5-3 through weeks 9-17 with big wins against dallass and Buffalo at home and stealing a road win against Seattle as I'm taking my wife there for her birthday weekend.
What are y'alls thoughts on that stretch of games?

What are y'alls thoughts on that stretch of games? I don't believe they'll go undefeated but there aren't any teams I feel like are a definite loss at this point. We have an idea of what teams are at this point. I'm sure we'll lose a game we should win at some point. We do still have a target on us due to the SB appearance. But, other than SF, I like our chances against everyone and I still believe if we played the 49ers 10 times we'd win 6 or 7 of those games. But I do believe we're close to each other. Miami's offense is scary but their defense is, well, not that good.
