I get it, our Eagles aren't playing the way we'd like. Just ended a 3-game losing streak where they lost to teams we HATE to lose to and got beaten badly in 2 and stupidly in another. Then almost gave away a game against the vaGiants. So I get it.
However....
This doom and gloom is really annoying. People like, "This team is one and done in the playoffs!" So what? Would we rather have them NOT in the playoffs? Would we rather them NOT have a chance at winning anything beyond regular season games?
I mean who will be the good team then? Right now it's Baltimore...until they screw up. It's all about getting to the dance. We're in the dance. Yes, would love to see them right the ship before but, if they don't, it won't change the fact I'll be cheering for them regardless.
Fans need to get a grip. They're 11-4! Never seen so many people pissed off at an 11-4 team...

Fans are restless because this team is playing nowhere near its potential on offence & most likely will piss away the season.
These opportunities don't come around too often & it looks like this one is being wasted so fans do have a right to expect better.

I understand that but this notion that we should all just stop caring because they're not looking as good as we want and they may not make a run in the playoffs is just dumb. People sound like a bunch of Cowboys' fans. If they eek into the playoffs, I don't care, they made it. Would I like them to be playing better? Absolutely. But, because they're not doesn't mean I'm not going to hang it up like so many fans seem to want to. Not like this team has won a ton of SBs in the past...

Being a fan doesn't preclude someone from being critical. Philadelphia fans have never been pom pom wavers but the majority are fiercely loyal. I agree that the intensity of some fans is over the top, but being loyal is a lot better than being a front-running scum sucker. IMO, the point to being a fan is to enjoy following the team and hopefully climbing greased street lights at some point. But it's nice to enjoy the ride even when there's not a party at the end.

IMO, the point to being a fan is to enjoy following the team and hopefully climbing greased street lights at some point. But it's nice to enjoy the ride even when there's not a party at the end. This goes beyond the normal idiotic fans. People are like, "Well, we can't win in the playoffs so we may as well hang it up..." These were the same people saying they shouldn't have tried to make the playoffs in Sirianni's first year because they wouldn't win. Just a stupid attitude. You can't win if you're not in. That is a fact. Players get experience. Experience helps in high-pressure situations like that. These same people will be sad once a Sunday (or Sunday night, or Monday night or...) comes and there is no Eagles' game... I'm just as critical as any other fan but being critical isn't what I'm talking about. Also, can people stop trying to force the issue about any problems there may--or may not--be happening on the team? When you listen to the players full interviews/quotes, you can see how the media--as usual--twists things around to make it seem so much worse than it is. This season has been the least amount of fun due to stupid media and stupid fans. I'm just trying to enjoy a very good season (record-wise) and a season where they (again) have a legitimate shot at another title. When you look at everyone else, who is the flavor of the week? Every team that everyone was SURE would be the champion has faltered. The Eagles are no exception. So just calm down and see what happens alreaday. That doesn't mean to stop giving the coaches shit as I still believe they are costing this team. But try and not over-react to every play, call, etc.

More than a few times in the last 23 years we've had championship caliber talent held back by coaching. The simple fact is, we're not winning shit with Brian Johnson calling plays. I think our talent will bring us at least one playoff victory, but that's where we're at.
I used to piss off other Eagles fans from 05-13 by claiming we were never going to see a different movie with Andy Reid in charge. Not that I'm proud if it, but I was obviously correct (and in fact, it took a generational talent All-World QB to finally put that fatass over the hump). If Sirianni takes over play calling we have a shot. But if we don't put up 27+ points against the top teams, we're toast. Simple facts.

I think our talent will bring us at least one playoff victory, but that's where we're at. You still think so? Meh, I dunno. We can still get the division and a home game, if we go on the road it's either at Tampa or NO, neither of which would give me confidence.
